“This is my second trip to the Dominican, and every day just seems to get better. You would think that, with this being my second time here, I wouldn’t have much to see that would be different. But each day I am here, I am truly amazed at everything. Seeing all of the familiar faces and just being able to reconnect with them has just been such an amazing experience. Seeing the ways we have impacted people’s lives is just something that I truly am glad to be a part of. One of my favorite moments so far was after our first game; I noticed a kid with a Piedmont Pride hat on, which was the name before it was changed to Kingsmen. That meant so much to me. First off, I am a Rock Hill guy and I had heard so much about Pride baseball and always wanted to be a part of the team when I was younger. Now being able to be a part of the Kingsmen, it has just been a full circle moment. Second, being able to see the impact that Coach Hudak has on everyone here is just very eye opening, and I am so blessed to be a part of an organization with a long list of great baseball players and men, but also an organization with such outreach and impact on not only people in the Carolinas and all over the states but also here in the Dominican Republic. Just seeing that hat showed me that the Kingsmen are not just a name you wear across your chest but also the way you carry yourself. We are to go out and be disciples of all nations and bring everyone we encounter the joy of Christ and spread his truth which comes from his word. I am so excited to see what the rest of this trip will bring and allow the Lord to not only work through me but be able to see him work through everyone on this trip. For all who are reading this believer or non believers, I encourage you to read and just learn more about who Jesus is and spread his word!”
