Kingsmen Extinguish Paulino, Final 2026 Game Awaits

July 16, 2026

SAN PEDRO de MACORIS, Dominican Republic — The Kingsmen were convincing in their shutout win over Paulino Academy on Thursday, defeating their Dominican opponents 10-0.

Ben France pitched six of the seven innings that were played at the former home of Fernando Tatis Jr. and Vladimir Guerrero Jr., among other former Dominican prospects.

Paulino Academy is one of just two teams that have ever beaten Coach Joe Hudak and the Kingsmen in the DR, but they didn’t have it together Thursday. The Kingsmen took an early lead on a big second inning, scoring five runs.

Later in the contest, Josh Jackson hit a towering home run to left field, the team’s third of the 2026 campaign. The game featured five extra base hits, with doubles coming from Caiden McNeil, Davis Anders, Tristan Harless, and Austin Leonard to go with the big fly from the UNC Asheville commit.

The final inning of the game belonged to Justin Stewart, a former Kingsmen who joined the team for this Dominican Republic trip. Stewart got all three hitters he faced in the seventh.

The win is the Kingsmen’s 14th. They have the opportunity to wrap up their season with a win Friday, taking on the Hiroshima Toyo Carp academy in San Pedro. First pitch is set for 10am eastern time.
