The Piedmont Pride took down the Lenoir Oliers, 11-5 on Saturday night. The victory extends The Prides win streak to 6 games and puts the team at 6-0 on the season.
With the bullpen short on arms and needing a strong outing from his starter, Coach Hudak sent out Rhiann Mann out to the mound. Mann threw a hitless 6.0 innings, allowing zero runs, and striking out seven Oilers.
The offense scored double digit runs for the fourth time in six game this season. The offense was capped off by a 3 run home run from Bo Williams in a five run seventh inning.
Abraham Mow had himself a night at the plate for the Red and Blue. Mow went three for four on the night with a solo home run and two doubles.
Jared Gay drove in another run tonight, giving him 11 on the season. His college teammate at Eastern New Mexico, Chris Padilla one for two on the night driving in one and reaching base all five at bats. Padilla on the season is batting .471 with eight hits and eight RBI’s.
