Pride and Vipers Game Halted Due to Storms

The Piedmont Pride and the Carolina Vipers were set to square off on Monday, June 11th, with both teams coming in at a perfect 6-0 on the season. The start of the game was delayed a half hour due to lightning in the area. When the game did get started, The Pride jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead in the top of the second inning off a Kale Rhame RBI double.

The game was delayed and eventually halted in the middle of the third inning due to lightning in the area. The Pride and d Vipers will resume the game in the bottom of the third inning on June 30th and play the rest of the nine inning game.

The game will be followed by a second, seven inning game as part of the originally scheduled game.
