My ten days in the Dominican Republic were special. I will never forget all the amazing memories and experiences I had. Everyday something new happened that was special to me and changed the way I look at life. Whether it was building a bathroom or playing ball against an academy, every moment was eye opening. I think the biggest takeaway for me was how kind and grateful the people there are. It puts things into perspective when thinking about life back home. Something that really stuck with me was when we were delivering food. It seemed like almost every one of them said if we ever came back that their house is ours too. That shows the love the people have their. It really hit me. The past ten days have been the best of my life. The Dominican Republic will forever have a place in my heart.
