MCNEARNEY POSTS THREE HITS AS PITCHING SHUTS DOWN MOORESVILLE

Mooresville, NC – Kingsmen Baseball is now among the top of the SCBL standings and is currently tied for the lead with a 7-4 record after a 6-2 victory over the Mooresville Spinners. The combination of Mathieu Curtis and Chas DeBruhl on the mound limited the Spinners to two runs on three hits and four walks. Meanwhile, the batting lineup put together a nine-hit performance with three of those coming from leadoff hitter Cam McNearney, who went on to also post a run and an RBI. Burke Camper also made some noise with a towering home run to left field in the 7th inning. Mathieu Curtis was the winning pitcher. He took the mound for the start and pitched 4.1 innings and allowed just two runs on two hits and three walks while striking out five.

Kingsmen will return to action tomorrow in Lake Norman, North Carolina to face the Lake Norman Copperheads in a doubleheader beginning at 5:00 PM.
