The stage is set for a Friday contest between the Kingsmen and the Catawba Valley Stars at York Comprehensive High School.
It’s the second time the Kingsmen are facing off with the Stars, the second of four scheduled games with Catawba Valley in 2026. The Kingsmen won the first meeting, 10-0, on June 10.
Friday’s game comes after the Kingsmen won a game and lost a game in their roadtrip earlier this week. After a tough loss in Misenheimer at the hands of the Queen City Corndogs, the Kingsmen tallied 13 runs in an impressive come-from-behind win against the Asheboro Zookeepers.
The win makes the Kingsmen 3-0 against Coastal Plain League competition, with one final CPL matchup coming on July 3rd when the Kingsmen travel to Wilmington to play the Sharks.
The home game Friday kicks off a spree of home contests for the Kingsmen, as they’ll play five of their next six at York. That culminates in the home finale of 2026 on July 2nd.
