“This is my first year playing for the Kingsmen, and playing for this team has been a true blessing in my life. I have met new friends who have pushed me to grow both as a baseball player and as a Christian.
One thing that has helped me in my walk with God is the Bible studies we do before each game. Hearing different guys talk about their walk with God has given me new perspectives and introduced me to new Scripture that I have been able to apply to my own life.
The trip to the Dominican Republic has been life-changing. I am so grateful to have had the chance to share the Word of God with the boys and girls in the orphanages. Going to the villages has shown me how blessed we are in the United States and reminded me that we should never take the small things for granted. The people in the villages were so full of joy and were incredibly welcoming.
We also visited a Dominican church where the preacher’s name was Maximo. He welcomed us into his church’s new pavilion named after Kingsmen Baseball and fed us. He was full of life and full of the love of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Seeing how faithful he was to the Lord has brought me even closer to God. I am so thankful for the opportunity to play for the Kingsmen.”
