“With this being my third visit to the Dominican, all I can say is that it is no less life changing than before. From the villages to the academies, it truly shows how blessed we are to live the life that we do.
After seeing the hard times these amazing people go through, it makes you realize your problems aren’t so bad after all. Our first game in San Pedro really stood out to me. I met a kid there named Yandiel, and he was actually from Las Vegas. Because of him, I was truly able to connect with all of the kids, and especially him. I always really enjoy going to Hogar del Niño, the daycare we visit. This year, between playing games, painting faces, and dancing, it was more hectic and fun than ever. It was absolutely awesome to be there with them. It is always nice to see familiar faces at the orphanages boys and girls both. Even though the boys whipped us in soccer, it was amazing to spend the day having fun with them.
The pure generosity these people show is always amazing to see and the best part is that it is just how they are. The people here truly are the most genuine people. To visit a village home that barely has four walls and they offer our whole team to come in and eat because they have some extra food truly shows their pure hearts and the amazing people that they are. They deserve every blessing that comes their way.”
