Homestand Split After Kingsmen Win Big on Wednesday

June 11, 2026

YORK, S.C. — The Kingsmen rebounded from their first 2026 loss to claim a 10-0 victory over the Catawba Valley Stars on Wednesday.

After the Kingsmen dropped a tough one Tuesday against the Augusta Klutch, it was important for the boys to respond. They got exactly what they were looking for.

Aidan Bisbano was great on the mound, pitching six innings in the win.

“We needed it,” Coach Hudak said. “Tonight, [Aidan] threw really well. Even when he got behind, he battled and didn’t walk too many guys. Really pleased.”

Bisbano struck out eight hitters, walking just three while only allowing one hit. It was a vintage performance from the Kingsmen veteran.

Impressively, he finished it just as well as he started, throwing just five pitches in his final inning.

“I had [Nick Osborne] warming up; I didn’t think Bisbano was going to be out there the whole sixth inning,” Hudak reflected. “Got out of there in five pitches, that’s a pitcher’s dream.”

Offensively, the Kingsmen took care of baseball due in part to a big inning. Once again, the Kingsmen pounded the ball in the second inning, scoring nine runs on six hits, including two Alan Benhardt doubles.

Big Tex ended the game with a team-high three hits.

The Kingsmen are off for a couple of days, after Friday’s game was canceled earlier this week. The Black and Gold will be back in action Saturday against the Lexington County Glowfish, with first pitch set for 7:05.
