York, SC – Kingsmen Baseball was victorious by a narrow margin tonight at York Comprehensive High School, defeating the Carolina Vipers 1-0. The game lasted only five innings as the remainder of the game was called off due to continuous rain and lightning in the area. With five innings complete, the game became official to put Kingsmen at a 13-6 SCBL record. The only run of the game came in the 1st inning with a wild pitch with the bases loaded allowed Anthony Mitta, who drew a walk during his plate appearance, to score. Both teams would manage just two hits each, and although the Kingsmen were able to draw five walks throughout the game, they were unable to get an additional run in.
