Kingsmen Baseball split the day against the Lake Norman Copperheads on Saturday afternoon. After being shutout 8-0 in the opener, Kingsmen bounced back to dominate game two with a final score of 11-1. The offense was able to put together seven hits in game one with Cam McNearney and Zach Saufl leading the way with two hits each, but eleven runners left on base proved to be the difference as Kingsmen would be left off the run column. Two errors resulted in six unearned runs. Julian Parson was charged with just one earned run but was charged with the loss. Game two proved to be a different story as ten hits and five walks resulted in ten runs while Ryan Rouse and Cam McNearney held Lake Norman to just one run on two hits and five walks. Rouse was the winning pitcher. Burke Camper, Dalton Reeves, and Aidan Rice all posted two hits each. Kingsmen will head to the Dominican Republic on June 29th to begin a ten-day mission trip that will include multiple baseball games.
