Following a three-game series in Fairbanks against the Alaska Goldpanners, the Kingsmen embarked on some outdoor fun in the Great Northwest.
On Tuesday, the group hiked through the wonders of the Matanuska Glacier. Walking two miles of the 27-mile behemoth, the team was on the glacier for over two hours.
“I think the boys really enjoyed it,” said Assistant Coach Preston Hudak. “It’s definitely some evidence that God is real and God is alive.”
Speaking of the Lord, the team finished off the day by starting a Bible Study on the Book of Philippians. The four-part series will take on one chapter at a time for the remaining duration of the trip.
The Kingsmen are back at it on the baseball field on Wednesday, taking on the Chugiak Chinooks at Lee Jordan Field. The Chinooks will host the Kingsmen on Wednesday and Thursday, before the Kingsmen head to Palmer to face the Mat-Su Miners on Friday and Saturday.
All games are streamed audio-only on the Kingsmen Baseball Network on Meridix.
