The Dominican trip was truly eye opening. To see these people and what they go through then to see how happy and kind they are is just amazing. Every village we went to, the people asked us how THEY could serve us and that if we ever needed a place to stay, we could stay with them. And the kids, they were just outstanding. They were so happy and played baseball with such a passion. This trip truly made me fall in love with baseball again. I would love to come back year after year if I could. Every single person we met was happy and content with where they were. They made due with what they had and we’re still so grateful to God about everything. It really put things into perspective for me.
