Kingsmen Continue Winning Ways with Big Win in Lexington

May 30, 2026

LEXINGTON, S.C. — For the second time in as many days, the Kingsmen scored eight or more runs in the first two innings, cruising to a run-rule win Saturday against the Lexington County Glowfish.

The 14-4 win was aided by offense early, with the bats driving in two runs almost immediately. Then, the Kingsmen scored seven runs on six hits in the second to blow the game wide open. Alan Benhardt slammed a bases-clearing triple in that inning that saw the Kingsmen bat around the order.

Another factor in the Kingsmen’s success has been their ability to run the bases. Through two games, the team has already swiped 11 bags, including four from Caiden McNeil in Saturday’s win.

On the mound, third-year flamethrower Aidan Bisbano looked impressive. He logged eight strikeouts and did not walk a single Lexington batter. He was hit for four runs, but none were earned due to errors in the field.

Those runs did not matter in the end, as the Kingsmen scored in five of the six innings and charged to victory. Newcomer Ben France closed things out in the sixth, sitting down four of the five hitters he faced without allowing a run.

The Kingsmen are back in action on Tuesday, hosting the Joanna Hornets at York Comprehensive High School.
