Kingsmen Baseball put together a sweep of the Catawba Valley Stars on Tuesday evening at York Comprehensive High School. Game one began with an eight-run 1st inning by the Kingsmen. However, Catawba Valley would bounce back and even take the lead in the 4th. The Kingsmen quickly responded with a run of their own to tie things up at 11-11. After two scoreless innings, the Kingsmen would secure the win with a bases-loaded walk. Zane Davis, who pitched the final 3.0 innings, was the winning pitcher. Game two proved to be a dominant performance by the Kingsmen, who scored in all but the 1st inning. Noah Borwege was dominant on the mound, pitching 4.2 strong innings and recording the win.
Troy Bachman had a dominant day, finishing with five hits including a triple as well as five RBIs and four runs. Noah Borwege pitched 4.2 innings, allowing no runs, two hits, and two walks while striking out eight.
The Kingsmen will return to action on Thursday, June 27th against the Lexington Blowfish in Lexington, South Carolina
