“This trip to the Dominican Republic has been very special to me. The trip has opened my mind and I have been able to see life from a very different perspective. This trip has brought me a lot closer to Christ, and I ended up giving my life to him while I was here. It happened because I was able to feel Christ working through me. I am so grateful that I was able to listen to it and be able to make that decision. When we were passing the food bags out it was very special to see everyone being so grateful for the food that we gave them. All of them had the biggest smiles on their face whenever we gave them the food. They all were so happy with their life even when the people didn’t have as much as other people. I felt so happy to be able to help other people out, and I know they are going to remember it. We were also able to go to the pastor’s house that was on the way to the village where we were passing food bags out, and he was so happy to see that we came. He said he was going to have food for us, but he didn’t because of how busy he was. We then were able to give him a gift to help him out. He was so grateful for that gift and promised us that we were going to have a feast the next time that we are in the Dominican Republic. It was honestly such a cool experience and I am so happy I have had the opportunity to come onto this trip. This trip is life changing and really makes you realize what you have, and become grateful for those things you have.”
