1st Year Kingsmen Player
“Just four days before the first team meeting, I was added as the last player to the Kingsmen under Coach Hudak. At the time, everything felt sudden and uncertain, but now I can see that it was all part of God’s perfect timing. I’m really thankful that Coach Hudak gave me a chance to be on the team. I thought I was just joining to play baseball, but this summer turned out to be so much more than that.
This has been a life changing trip to the Dominican Republic. We got to visit a boys’ and a girls’ orphanage, and it was something I’ll never forget. The kids had so much energy and joy, even though they didn’t have a lot. They were always smiling and laughing. It made me think about how blessed I am and how much I take for granted sometimes.Today we ended up going to a local church. What stood out to me the most was even though we didn’t speak the same language, we were still able to worship the same God together. I couldn’t understand all the words in the songs or the message, but I still felt connected. God’s presence was so real. It didn’t matter that we were from different countries. We were all there to praise Him, and that was enough.
It was amazing to see how big and powerful God really is. He’s not limited by language or location. Being able to worship with people I had just met, in a place so far from home, reminded me that God brings people together in the most special ways.
Looking back, I’m so glad I got to be a part of the Kingsmen. God’s timing was perfect, even though I didn’t see it at first. I’m thankful for Coach Hudak, my teammates, and everything this summer taught me.
