“This is the sixth night of our time here, and I’m extremely grateful that I’m here a second time. This trip truly is life changing and I’m very blessed that I get to experience it all again.

So far, we’ve gone to the boys and girls orphanages, and both of these are some of the best parts of the trip. At the girls orphanage, it’s amazing to see how open they are to us and how happy they are no matter what they have. We started with playing kickball and it was really cool to see everyone go straight into it. No one out there held back and we had a really great game of kickball. We also all got our hair braided, and that was one of the best parts. It was really cool to see how much everyone enjoyed it and how much they loved they got to braid our hair. The thing that spoke to me the most about it all was how much they love God. They love to learn about Him and were extremely grateful when we handed them bibles.

The boys orphanage was just as impactful. When we first got there, I got handed a little kid, and he stayed with me the whole time we were there. He didn’t want to go with anyone else and would point for me on where to take himWe watched a really intense game of soccer and baseball which was really cool to see. It was also really cool watching how they take care of each other. They’re always checking in on each other and making sure they’re okay. It was also awesome to watch how much they loved the Lord.

Today, we were able to visit the daycare at Hogar del Niño. This was another really cool experience, and I think it impacted us a whole a lot. We were able to play with the toddlers, and it was a really cool experience. They welcomed us right in and started dancing with us right away. They then started to paint our face, and it was awesome to see their smile and how happy it made them.

This trip has already made a huge impact on me, and I’m really looking forward to the rest of it. I hope we can continue to make an impact and continue changing lives by spreading the love of God.”
