“This is my second year in the Dominican, and it’s been a completely different experience for me. Last year, as I look back on it, it was like I was going through the motions as a Christian, but now I feel a real calling from our Savior, Jesus. So many great guys are on the team this year, keeping me accountable, and this is the closest I’ve ever felt to God. We are making so many great memories here. Just yesterday at the boys’ orphanage, we got to experience true joy coming from people who have much less than we do in the U.S. It’s incredible to know that God is working through us. This Thursday, I saw God working for what felt like the first time. I know He’s been in my life helping me, but I had never seen it so clearly before. This trip means so much to me and our team. I wish everyone could feel the Holy Spirit the way we do right now.”
