“Coming back to the DR for a second time has been a truly amazing experience so far. I’ve seen God work in ways that I never thought possible. I am so thankful to be here, serving these people. These first 4 days have been very special.

We had the privilege of returning to the girls’ and boys’ orphanages. This is one of my favorite parts of the entire trip because of the joy the kids bring to us players. Just being around them allows you to experience true joy in its purest form. One thing that just blows me away is how giving the children are, even with how little they have. I think this is a good representation of how we should serve Christ — by giving our all to Him and trusting in Him to do the rest.

Before we left both orphanages, we passed out Spanish bibles to each kid. This is a really special moment because the kids were so excited to receive these books, and we were just as excited to give them. God calls us to plant the seed and let him do the rest. I believe we accomplished that mission, and now it’s up to Him to do the rest.

This team is really special to me because of the tight bond we all have together. One thing I remember from a bible study earlier in the summer is that unity is crucial for a team. I believe this team has unity and that our sole purpose is to serve God and further his Kingdom. I love these guys, and I can see the Lord moving more and more each day.

I am excited to see what the rest of the trip brings and how God will continue to move!”
