“Today, we started our day by going to the grocery store to gather the food items for the food bags that we will pass out later this week. We were blessed with the opportunity to go to the girls orphanage afterwards. With this being my second trip, I was extremely excited to go back and visit those lovely girls. Zero hesitation came from our men as we walked in and got ready to play kickball. It’s amazing to see how God works through these girls as they look after one another. My favorite part of going to the girls orphanage is getting a chance to sit down and let them braid our hair. They have such a good time sitting down and styling our hair, even those that don’t have long hair. Aside from the fun we had physically, the spiritual blessings of the day were unmatched. Watching our men work as if they had known these girls forever was unreal. Each man had the opportunity to spread the Good News and show that God is still with each girl even without having much. I wouldn’t trade the opportunity to hang out with those young women for the world and it is easily my favorite part of this trip. I am beyond excited to go to the boys orphanage tomorrow and get a chance to play with them and continue to share the Good News.”
