This trip has been in amazing to me in so many aspects. I was a little hesitant on what to expect the day before we boarded the plane to the Dominican Republic, but now I wonder why I was so hesitant. The first thing we did was go to a day care with over 45+ kids and it was a very fun. We all played games for the first 30 minutes and then we went to paint on the kids faces. Funny thing is that even though they spoke a different language I could tell that they were having a great time with the smiles they all had on their faces. Down here they don’t have a lot, but with just simple stuff like painting a mustache on the kids faces they thought that was the coolest thing ever. Spiritually I feel like I have grown tremendously, just listening to everyone and seeing how blessed and how God works in strange ways. I know I have a long way too go with my faith but I can’t wait to see where it will take me in the future.
