1st Year Kingsmen Player
“This summer with the Kingsmen, there have been so many amazing experiences. I’ve met so many great guys who love the Lord and have a passion to pursue a life with Christ. Having this community of people has helped me become a better man and grow in my own relationship with Christ. This summer with the Kingsmen, we have been able to do a lot of great things like go to Alaska and play, and now we have the privilege of being in the Dominican Republic.
These first couple of days being here in the Dominican Republic have been eye-opening. Our first stop was the girls orphanage where we met so many amazing girls. We played kickball and did so many other activities. One thing that stood out the most was watching the girls be there for and take care of each other. These girls have been through so much, and seeing them take care of each other the way they did touched my heart. We also went to the boys orphanage where we played basketball and baseball. Everyone was from different backgrounds and spoke different languages, but it was awesome to see us all come together to enjoy the sports we all love. At each orphanage we were embraced with open arms, and there was so much joy.
This trip is only halfway done, and there’s so much more work to be done. Being able to go out and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ has been the biggest highlight, and to see how people from all backgrounds can come together to glorify God has touched me. I know that I am not here by coincidence, but because this is where God wanted me to be. I thank everyone who has made this trip possible and everyone who is a part of it. God is so good!”
