Kingsmen Power To Comeback Victory in York

June 25, 2025

Catawba Valley did most of its damage in the second inning, scoring three runs off of just one hit. In fact, it was the only hit the Stars managed before the final, seventh inning.

Tripp Bollibon started the game on the mound for the Kingsmen, though the contest quickly turned into a bullpen game. Tripp pitched just one inning, and the home Kingsmen used five pitchers over the course of seven innings.

It was a frustrating day at the plate for the Kingsmen, who struggled to find offensive production through the first five innings of the ballgame.

But in the sixth, they found their spark. Brady Yarborough singled to give the Kingsmen their first lead since the opening inning. Immediately following, Josh Jackson crushed a three-run triple to pad the lead and secure the victory for the team.

Aidan Bisbano, who was called upon to get the team out of the sixth on the mound, finished off the seventh and the Kingsmen held on for the win.

With the win, the Kingsmen remain unbeaten since returning from Alaska. They have now won 5 of their 6 games.

Thursday is Marlie Dru Sullivan night at the ballpark, honoring the life of Marlie who died last year in a tragic vehicular accident. We invite you to join us at the ballpark, where all ticket proceeds will go to the foundation started in her name.
