“This is my first trip to the Dominican Republic and it has been a humbling experience. Today we helped our Interpreter, Kike, build his new home. It feels good to be able to help him out because this is the 6th year this house has been worked on. We also went to Los Montones, which is a Sugar Cane Village that Kike grew up in. We handed out 20 bags of food and prayed over the families that lived there. It was heart warming to put smiles on these people’s faces. My favorite part of the trip was playing in La Romana. The infield was filled with rocks but the kids on the other team were still playing hard and diving head first, which I did not have the courage to do. I strive to be more like these people because they make the best out of there given circumstances. God is good all the time, and His love endures forever.”
