KINGSMEN HANG ON TO DEFEAT CATAWBA VALLEY

Kingsmen Baseball came away with a 13-8 victory over the Catawba Valley Stars on a hot evening at Northwestern High School. Both teams were able to score multiple runs throughout the first four innings, with the Kingsmen leading 10-5. After a scoreless 5th inning, the Stars added a run in the 6th to close their deficit to four. However, the Kingsmen would open the lead back up with three runs in the 7th. Catawba Valley made things interested with two runs in the 9th, but Henry Malarski was able to close things out to secure the win.

TJ Provenzano was the winning pitcher, who pitched 3.0 shutout innings. Troy Bachman put together a solid evening, finishing the game with four hits including a triple as well as two runs and two RBIs.

The Kingsmen will face the Columbia Bombers on Saturday, July 6th at Northwestern High School.
