“This trip has meant everything to me, and I am extremely thankful to be a part of it. Since being in the Dominican Republic, I have gotten a lot closer to Christ through the mission work we have done. I enjoyed playing ball with the players down here because of how hard they play. Playing baseball in the Dominican felt like I was a kid again just playing ball and the feeling of playing ball here was pure. The most spiritually impactful part of the trip was Los Montones. Los Montones is a sugar cane village, and they are extremely poor. I have never seen living conditions I saw in the sugar cane village. We were chosen to bless these families with food and pray for their families.
After every prayer, the family receiving the food would always smile and say Amen. I have never seen people more immersed in Christ until that day. The people of the sugar can village are true believers and I’m looking forward to growing my faith as those people did.”
