This trip to the Dominican Republic has been like nothing I have ever experienced before. The first week of this trip has simply been amazing. Today we played a game against Cesar Baseball Academy and it was really cool because the girls from the niñas de Cristo orphanage and the boys from the niños de Cristo orphanage were both there to watch us play. This team was the best team we have played so far as they gave us the best competition yet. I can tell that the sky is the limit with their potential for the game of baseball. After the game, Tyler Baker was able to share his testimony and a couple of the kids were saying how they love the game of baseball but know that they have something more important in life, and that is to live for Jesus. I thought this was really cool because even though they were a couple years younger than us, they already know what the most important thing in life is. After the game we went to Hogar del niño school to play with the kids. At the school we got to play with the toddlers, feed them and get our faces painted, it was a really fun time. My favorite part about this trip so far has been just seeing everyone happy and not worrying about anything at all, simply just living in the moment and being grateful for everything they have. This trip has taught me that I need to worry less about the little things and live more in the moment because God will always lead us in the right direction if we let him. This trip has been an experience that I will remember for the rest of my life.
