July 15 – Perry Dyer

“Today was my favorite day of the trip so far. We played in Boca De Chavon against some of the local baseball players. Regardless of the language barrier, it was really cool to talk to some of the players. We talked about our favorite MLB players and also some hobbies we both enjoyed. The game was a lot of fun because it felt like we were playing backyard wiffle ball. At the end of the game all the players met on the mound and we shared the story of Christ and what He did for us.

The second part of the day we spent at Hogar del Nino.

At this daycare it was really awesome to spend time with the kids. We played with babies and we also got our face painted by the toddlers. You can imagine how that went.

One thing that really made an impression on me was hard the workers at the daycare worked. They truly have been given a gift and are using it to further God’s Kingdom. Overall, it was a really awesome day and it makes me grateful for the things we take for granted at home.”
